I never experienced any slowdown or frame rate issues while playing, which is impressive considering how graphically demanding La Noire can be at times. In terms of sheer performance alone, this might just be the best version of La Noire available right now – certainly better than the original Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which were plagued by technical issues.

Another big plus for playing La Noire on Switch is portability. Being able to take such an immersive and detailed world with you wherever you go is definitely appealing (especially given how long some cases can take to solve). And while I didn’t get too much chance to play La Noire in portable mode myself (due to its mature themes not being conducive to public places), I could see how some players would really appreciate being able to play such a dark and gritty detective story anywhere they want. It really adds another layer of convenience and accessibility to an already great game . . .
