In my opinion, the best Pokémon games for Nintendo Switch are the newly released Sword and Shield. I love how they bring the series’ classic gameplay into a new console generation, and the graphics are gorgeous. The open-world exploration is also a huge plus for me, as it really allows you to feel like you’re in the shoes of a true Pokémon trainer.

If you’re looking for something with a bit more story and depth, then I recommend Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee. These games do an excellent job of bringing the beloved franchise to a new audience while still keeping long-time fans happy. The addition of cooperative play is also great fun and really adds another layer to the game.
